He Just Doesn't Give A Shit. Period.

So I finally saw X. It’s been almost two months since myfriend told me he texted her telling her he was starting to like me and Ifinally saw him like two weeks ago (I haven’t had time to post this earlier).

It was weird. That’s for sure.

I didn’t really know what to expect because everybody wastelling me he liked me and stuff, but he never really did anything except forbbm-ing (that verb probably doesn’t exist) me once. So I knew it was going tobe awkward to go to his house because he probably knew that I knew about himliking me or whatever, and I’m sure he also knew that I knew he knew about it(wtf?). Sounds confusing but you get my point. It’s like we both kneweverything, but nobody said anything so it was just… awkward.

Now… you must be wondering if he took the chance, since Iwas at his house, to do something. And the funny thing is that, no matter howexperienced, shameless, brave, and confident he looks, he barely talked to me.It was like I was not even there. He spent the whole night making the pizzasand then playing cards with some other friends, and he didn’t even say hi to me.After a few hours, I was at the pool with some other kids and he came and satnext to me and joined the conversation and helped me with my blackberry orsomething, but he never even tried to show me a little bit that he is trying toget with me. So it’s confusing because I don’t know if he lied to my friends,if my friends lied to me, if everything is some kind of joke, if he reallylikes me but I look like some kind of monster who is going to bite him orsomething, I don’t know what the hell is going on.

After I left his house the first thing my friend Jo saif tome was “What the hell is going on with X?” because he acts like he knows how todeal with girls and then he is scared to even talk to me.

But I have a whole new perspective on this type of stuff. After watching “He’s Just Not That Into You” and hundred thousand times, I amnot going to start trying to figure out what’s going on in his mind. If youlike me boy, come and tell me or do something to let me know how you feel. Ifyou don’t do anything, then you don’t like me. That’s how it works. If he actslike he doesn’t give a shit, he genuinely doesn’t give a shit. So that’s how I’mgoing to look at this whole situation. And if he does give a shit but he’s tooscared to show it, which according to my new perspective that just CAN’T HAPPENbecause guys are not girls, then he has to show me somehow how he feels andfight for me. I know he’s hot, and he knows he’s hot, but doesn’t mean that Iam going to come for free, that easy. No, no. You like me? Show me. Fight for me. Talk to me. Flirt with me. I don’tknow, LIKE MY PICTURE ON FACEBOOK OR JUST DO SOMETHING. Do not tell the wholefreakin world that you like me so then they are gonna tell me about it, if youare not willing to DO SOMETHING about it.

So I hope I left things clear. And for now, there’s nothingbetween us and he just doesn’t give a shit. And I don't give a shit either. This is a non-shit-giving situation.

Yes, I Have A Life!!

So the reason why I haven't been blogging as much is because I finally have a life! I go out every single day! I have to get deeper into that actually but I am really loving it here! Nothing interesting happened yet with anybody, but I am just having a lot of fun and starting to remember what it feels like to actually go out with friends and have a social life. I don't regret my decision at all, and like my reader Jasmine said, my experience in America was a lesson I learned and an experience I will never forget, and now it is time to move on and enjoy life.

So now I can say that I know I followed my heart when I made my decision, and I encourage my 12 followers and the rest of my readers to do the same thing, because it is the only way to never regret anything.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow because I'm going to a night club with friends today! :D

American Boys

Alright. So this is it. I am sick of this. Last week was this Mike whatever who kept texting me constantly. Now this new guy, who started talking to me as randomly as Mike, said that I am pretty and that he wants to get to know me. I mean, first of all, you don't say that to a stranger if you don't wanna creep the hell out of them; start being friendly first. And never ever say to some random girl that she is pretty and that you wanna get to know her (or at least do it in a super original way, without using the words "i wanna get to know you", that is just retarded). What you gotta do is talk to her, be friendly, flirt a little bit, but do not be that direct because that is just not natural. I know that's the way American guys work, but I am from another country where we do things differently, and this whole technique of telling a girl she is pretty out of nowhere is annoying me. Specially because it always happens with guys I don't like, and I would never ever like. Step by step boys, STEP BY STEP.

Guys should flirt with girls in a classy way, not trashy. And trashy is when they jump straight to the pool without even knowing if there's water in it. I mean, if you tell a girl without even knowing her that she is pretty and that you wanna get to know her, you have a small chance that she probably wants to do the same thing, but most of the time they are not going to be as interested as you, and by doing that creepy move, you are just making them feel waaaay less interested. You gotta know them first, without letting them know that you are trying to get to know them. You gotta do it naturally. You gotta be spontaneous, unexpected, funny, a little bit charming, and friendly. After that, you can tell the girl you like her, but do not give her your number when she hasn't asked for it, specially if she doesn't even seem to want your number.

So guys, let's try to make this a better world in terms of flirting and teen relationships. If you didn't really get my point, you should go to Europe or Argentina, where boys really know what they are doing, and know how to get a girl. Other wise, do not complain when girls say they want a British, Italian, or Aussie boyfriend.

But, I also gotta admit that sometimes, America guys can be the sweetest, cutest, and can maintain a real relationship for the longest time. And of course, American guys... ARE REALLY HOT. Right Morgan? Right Sam? Right hot-kid-that-I-saw-today-but-I-don't-know-your-name-yet? Right Kevin? Right Cody? Right dear seniors?

Proud To Take A Step Back

The end of the school year in Argentina arrived, which means I am technically not a junior anymore. In 4 months, I am going to walk through that door, knowing that it is the last first day of school ever.

Seeing pictures of the Seniors graduating and doing all of the cool things that they do in my school, make me stick to my decision of going back, and having the time of my life. Partying, enjoying life, having fun, making trouble, breaking out, being with my friends, and just being a teenager for the last year.

There are gonna be times where I am going to wonder why the hell I went back, but I'm sure that at the end, it is going to be worth it. My biggest fear about going back to Argentina is that I came to America to become true my dream of being an actress, and eventually, a director, and I feel that by going back and I making a step backwards. Like I am giving up those dreams for just a year with my friends.

But it is not just a year with my friends. It is also the memories. Memories that will stay with me forever. It is the year where I can let it all go. It is being a Senior. Enjoying school, because it will never happen again. It is going out to nightclubs every single weekend and getting completely drunk just for the hell of it. It is doing stupid things and laughing for no reason.

I need to understand that 2012 it is not the end of the world. It is just the end of a chapter in my life, and the beginning of a new one. I am dedicated to live my dreams next chapter, in the future, because there is still a lot of time ahead; I am just a kid. I need to learn how to wait, be patient, and enjoy what I have now. And life is giving me this chance of doing something that I will never regret, and that is now or never. I have my whole life to go to Europe, go to college, improve my knowledge in directing and producing, going to acting classes, moving to LA, etc etc etc. But all I have right now, is the last year of my youth. I always say I want to be forever young, but... it is stupid to say that if I never actually enjoyed being young because I always worried too much about the future, and planned to many things that never really happen.

So for the first time in my life, I am willing to dream with those normal things that are supposed to happen to teenagers. I am going to look forward to school, enjoy the annoying teachers, laugh with my friends, and just be 17 (my birthday is next March).

I am happy with the decision I made. I might be taking the easy way, I might be giving up, I might not be fighting with all I have, but I know that in the end, I am not going to regret it. And most important, why do I have to choose between my dreams and my Senior year when I can have both, one a time?

LIVE YOUR LIFE

PS: Sometimes you have to take a half step back to take two forward, just like people who run track take a few steps backwards in order to gain speed and then advance 1000 steps forward til they reach the finish line.

Cyberbullying

Today I watch the movie Cyberbullyng, starring Emily Osment. It took me a while to get in tune with the whole story, but I gotta admit that once you watch the whole thing, it is pretty good.

Bullying is definitely real, and many teenagers out there have to go through it. Even though this never happened to me, as the "new foreign student" I know how it feels to be kind of outside the popular groups. Nobody never discriminated me or anything, but I can feel that sometimes people talk about me and stuff, and maybe I do care a little bit, but I try to be better than that.

My biggest problem with this movie though, was the weakness. The issues and problems presented are real: jealousy between friends, fake Facebook profiles, bullying, calling someone else a bitch, blah blah. But I just can't deal with the weakness of the main character, Taylor, to let all of this take over her life (in case you don't know, she decided to kill herself, which is a pretty intense scene). I know it hurts when you feel alone, like everybody else is against you, like nobody understands you, and nobody is willing to get to know you before they judge you; I know. But even if it is the hardest thing ever, you need to stand up for your self man. Even if it takes the courage you don't even have, you need to defend your pride, and most of all, your life and your feelings. Taylor decided to send a video to everybody saying "goodbye", showing them that they succeeded in putting her down. But that's not the way it works.

So I want to say my opinion, and I hope this helps someone out there who is being bullied. First of all, they do it because of envy and jealousy. Second, they do it because they know you are not as confident, and that you are never going to stop them, and this is where you have to prove them wrong. Do not go to your house crying, do not let it hurt you. And do not do what this girl Taylor did: trying to commit suicide. I mean, that is just stupid and nuts. STAND UP FOR YOU. Go to your school and just yell "fuck you all" and stop giving a crap about what those losers think of you. That's the key: stop giving a crap about what people think, and laughing your ass off. You know they do it because they have no life, because they are so insecure with themselves that they need to bring other people down just to feel better. So walk next to them and smile, let them see your smile. Show them they have no power over you, even if it is the hardest thing you will ever do. It is so easy at the end of the day.

Bullies are just gross and disgusting, but if you let them harm you the way they do it, you are not very respectable either. I know it is hard, but you need to be strong. You need to be able to deal with it. Fill yourself with confidence, and fight for you. Show them how much you are worth it, and how sick is what they are doing.

All I'm saying is, you can sit in front of the computer reading all of the bad comments about your self, or you can stand up, print those comments, put them all over school, and show the whole world how gross those people are.

Remember: it is all about attitude.

STAY STRONG AND LAUGH YOUR ASS OFF.

Why I am Going Back To Argentina

An Exchange Student On Glee

Finally Damian McGinty arrived to Glee. My favorite contender of the Glee Project, that kid from Ireland with that amazing accent is finally on my favorite TV Show. And you have no idea how excited I was when he said that he was an foreign exchange student from Ireland, and when nobody could understand his accent, and when he felt lonely with no friends... I felt like Ryan Murphy finally created the perfect character for me.

In one scene he says something about loving America, and how he thought that everybody was unique and friendly, how people could easily accept some other individuals that are completely different. I thought the same thing, and I came to a place where people have no idea that there is a world out there, and that just because we have an accent or we grew up in a different country, does not mean that we are losers.

Today I saw myself on Glee, portrayed by Damian McGinty, and I really felt understood.

Now I hope fans of Glee can see how we, the exchange students from other countries, feel when we walk in those hallways, being pushed away by the rest of the students, and with the desire of being a  part of something.

Good Life

I am starting to realize how much I complain. How many hours I spend complaining about school, about people, about myself, about my parents, about the weather, about food, about my dogs, about my family... about my life in general. I complain, most of us do. It is easier to feel the bad side of something, instead of looking at the bright one. It is easier to say "I'm tired" in school, instead of "I am glad to be with my friends". It is easier to desire what we don't have, instead of looking at what we do have. It is easier to say "You don't know what you got til is gone", instead of accepting what life is giving us right now. It it easier to remember the past or make plans for the future rather than live for today.

But sometimes I open my eyes and realize how beautiful this life is. How tough it can be sometimes, and how rewarding and enjoyable can be some other times.

Life is not really about big things, it is about the small ones; those details, those little moments... about the situations that we did not even know where gonna mean so much to us.

With good music, lots of smiles, friends who make us laugh, mommies and daddies who love us, brothers and sisters who are always there, cousins who play with us, grandparents who cook for us, chocolate chip cookies, beautiful pictures, interesting books, romantic movies, a bright lipstick and nail polish, colors, the rain, the stars at night, cute boys, and many other things... how can we be sad?

We are young enough to say that this has gotta be a good life. WE ARE YOUNG. We can still dream, we can still act foolish, we can still make mistakes and blame it on the alcohol, we can dance Lady Gaga or rap Super Bass, we can eat until we explode, we can laugh until our stomach hurts...

Stop complaining, smile,  embrace life with happiness. Look around, and no matter how hard things are going, you are going to realize and this is pretty amazing.

Fake

I'm tired of living in a world with so many unreal and fake people. I'm tired of people who just follow the flow, and don't even care about real friendship any more. I'm tired of people who forget who they are just to be like everyone else. I'm tired of people who pretend to love everybody, when all they do is talk shit behind everybody's back. I'm tired of people who is trying to be cool in front of everybody. And what makes me tired the most, is the fact that sometimes, I'm also like this people.

I think the major factor when you are a teenager that says if you are cool or not is alcohol. I mean, alcohol is pretty cool when you want to have fun, but it's not the main thing in life you know. People go crazy over alcohol. People sneak around just to have a glass of vodka. People call every single person in their contacts to ask if they have alcohol. People make out with horrible guys just to get alcohol. People spend their savings in alcohol. People is just obsessed with alcohol, with being cool, with being like everyone else. People should congratulate me, because I have spent a good amount of time without alcohol, without wild parties, and without nightclubs, and Oh My God, guess what!!!!! I'm alive. Yes, I'm alive, you can touch me, you can see me, I'm alive!!!!!!!!! (I'm being sarcastic).

But alcohol is not the problem. Neither are drugs or smoking (which, by the way, I totally DO NOT support). The problem is PEOPLE. Is the way they change, the way they act, the way they forget about what life is really about, just to be "cool". The funniest thing ever is when they try really, really hard to be cool, but they are just naturally different, and it is impossible not to notice it. I know a few of those.

Anyway, I don't know. This is a random post just talking about fake people, which apparently there are more than I thought, and it is really frustrating. Specially when my friends or people I know become one of those. And like I said, way worse when I become one of those.

Note: Drink all the alcohol you want and have all the fun you want, but if you weren't doing it just for people to see that you are drinking, you wouldn't take pictures and then upload them to Facebook ;)

"In movies, the popular girl is always mean, but her boyfriend (who plays american football) is sensible and miserable because no one understands him, and then he falls in love with the ugly loser". Naah, that never happens.

Forever Alone II

Yeah well, apparently Mason is having a thing with a girl who is literally a whore. My friend saw them making out after school, but they are not dating, they were just hooking up, but whatever, it is kinda the same thing. On the other hand, I think Sam has a thing with someone else too, and even if he doesn't have a thing with anyone, he still doesn't give a crap about me, so same thing. Morgan is still practically married to that girl he was dating over the summer. Uhmm... I don't even talk to Cody anymore either. And now even Jake forgot about me and is dating someone. So yeah, I am the forever alone bitch.

The only person that talks to me are these weirdos. One of them invited me a few times to the movies, and invited me to grab lunch with him the other day. Is it so hard for him to understand that if I said "no" twice without re-scheduling is because I don't care about him? And then we have this other fucking creeper who stalks me, talks to me all the time, smiles at me like he is about to rape me, and tells me all the time that my profile picture on Facebook is pretty. At the beginning I was nice to him, but now I'm like "get the hell away from me".

Why do I get weirdos? Why do I get guys that I would never ever like? Even if those guys were the last men on Earth, I would rather die alone and virgin before giving these kids a chance. I know, I sound really mean. But I am tired, I am tired of this whole thing. I never get the hot guy, the cute guy, the sexy guy. I always get the weirdo who takes advantage of the fact that I am new and that I look like a nice person and starts creeping me out. They take advantage of me, and it is freaking insulting. Do I look like I wanna date someone as anti-social, creepy and weird as you? No! Why don't they go and ask the leader of the cheerleaders out? Because they know she is gonna reject them if they are not "normal". So that's when they think "oh, Lola is probably gonna say yes. She looks like she is nice. She wouldn't reject me". Seriously you jackass? Do I look stupid? Call me a bitch, you can say that my heart is like a rock, or you know what? You can say I don't even have a heart. I don't give a shit. I just want to get FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE the guy that I want. Not the ugly one who doesn't even have personality. (And don't get me wrong, when I say "normal", I mean a normal person. I love original people, I love outstanding guys, I love funny guy, I love unique guys, but between the limits or normality, you know what I mean?).

So I was watching the movie "Bad Teacher" with Cameron Diaz today, and the movies shows this nerd liking the popular girl who rejects him, and then Diaz said a quote that really helped me understand this whole thing:
"Okay, here's the deal, man. I cannot keep sugar coating this for you. This girl, is never gonna be interested in you. Never! You clearly have a rich interior life, with the poems and the whatever. But, she wants a guy like Ian what's his face! Ian Mental-bomb, the rapper? Yeah, he's a fucking mo-ron! But she doesn't care. She's superficial and her priorities are all fucked up! She likes him because he's hot dude. You...are sensitive. And that's not a compliment"
Yeah, that's the thing. I like jerks. Jerks are hot. Jerks have this sneaky way of getting to your sensitive point. Somehow, they manage to say the right words that are gonna get ya. They are sexy, the look interesting, they look... they look like men. And I think that what most girls love, is to feel like a bad guy fell for them, like the hot guy is gonna become a good guy for them. And deep inside, they know it is not true, but they still like it. A relationship with those hot popular guys is like an adventure, we are taking the risk of getting hurt, of getting heart broken, and we love that. Yeah, I don't like poetry, I don't like it corny or cheesy, I don't like it romantic... I like it simple. I like it sexy.
I am deeply sorry to all of those hearts that I broke. It was not my fault, just DON'T PUSH A GIRL'S BUTTONS. I don't care if I have to be single for decades, but I am going to wait for my Mason, for my Morgan, for my Sam, for my Jason. I am gonna wait for the guy I wanna have. I am not gonna be satisfied with the creepy one. No. I am gonna go get my hottie. Am I superficial? Maybe. Are my priorities fucked up? Yeah. Do I fall for hot guys? Hell yeah. And I don't care what anybody else thinks. But I reached the highest point of my calm side. Since 7th grade, awkward guys are asking me out and stuff. This is it. I am so not gonna get insulted by a bunch of weirdos. Hell no. I want to get the guy that I like. And you know what, hot guys are not always mean, or jerks. Hot guys also have a good heart.
The thing is, I don't want a single candy. I want the whole box. And while I wait for the whole thing, I am not gonna enjoy the candy that fell from the sky. I am gonna fight for what I want. A cheap candy is never ever gonna be enough for me.
That's the reason why I am... FOREVER ALONE
PS: I sounded like a bitch the whole thing, and I hope someone can understand my feelings right now.

Senior Year

2012 might not be the end of the world, but it is the end of my childhood; it's the end of my life as a school student; the end of 12 years of being with my friends everyday; the end of my life as I know it. So in some way, it is the end of my world, but the beginning of a new one.

Last night I had some kind of emotional breakdown about it. I started remembering all of those good memories, all of the things that I did, the mistakes that I made, the things that I did right... but what made me cry the most were all of those things that I did not do, specially the year that I came here.

When I remember about my sophomore year, all I remember is how amazing it was and how amazing it could had been if I had stayed. I don't regret coming here, but it kills me to know that I was having the time of my life and I did not know it.

I obviously missed my junior year with my friends, but I'm coming back, and out of nowhere, I'm gonna be a senior. It is gonna be my last year to wake up at 7 am and have my mom bringing me a coffee, or wearing that horrible but  beautiful uniform, or seeing my friends everyday, or not studying for a test and still pass...

It's funny how we spent those 12 years complaining and hating school, but when it is almost over, we realize how much we love it, because it is all we know, it is our life.

School is beautiful, and time goes by, and one day we wake up realizing that it is over, and that we are never gonna get it back. School it is not a job you quit knowing that you can come back in 20 years, or college, knowing that if you wanna study something else in the future, you can still do it. School is once in a lifetime, and then it leaves us forever. And it is not just school, it is also being young, naive, innocent, and adventurous, and at the same time, being rebellious, dramatic, and bipolar. It is fighting with your best friend knowing that in 10 minutes you are gonna be best friends again, it is constantly making mistakes but getting over them and keep going, it is learning a new lesson everyday, it is pretending to know it all but knowing nothing at all, it is loving a guy with all your heart without even knowing him, it is crying for things that don't even matter, it is complaining about math or geography without knowing how tough the world can be, it is getting obsessed with each little thing, it is partying until 7 am and getting drunk without having to think about anything else, it is dreaming big, it is constantly reinventing ourselves and change our style, it is having our whole life ahead of us... Being a teenager is so many things, and that spirit slowly leaves us along with school once we are 18.

That day is coming soon, the day where I am gonna become an adult without even realizing, so all I wanna do is enjoy this last year.
